How MX:Monitor came to be
MX:Monitor helps technology multinationals to gain an external perspective of how demand generation tactics and data protection policies and procedures are being implemented by their internal and external marketing teams.
It has grown out of a collaboration between marketing communications and marketing data specialists, leveraging extensive strategic, tactical and technical expertise accumulated over many years. In our day-to-day business experience we found we were seeing a significant gap in the overall picture of our clients' marketing communications. As the complexity of marketing comms has rocketed in recent years, not least because of the step-up in data regulation, clients were telling us that they had little idea of what the actual experience of those at the receiving end of their communications was like. And so the idea of user experience 'mystery shopping' was born. It seemed like a great way to provide this insight to our clients so that they could improve the way they do their marketing and to check their data compliance, from the other end of the telescope. From success with an initial focus on data protection compliance, with the DP:Monitor module, we expanded the idea to encompass various other aspects of user experience, such as frequency and cadence of communications. This became the UX:Inspector. Our customers tell us we have provided some really valuable insight and uncovered some key issues with their processes. Often they are simple fixes, which can immediately increase the audience available to target or the number of relevant contacts being touched. In a competitive marketplace a 'quick win' is always welcome, and in MX:Monitor we are excited to have developed a quality service which can do just that. |
